To be an outstanding Department, competent and excell to produce, train and empower world class professionals who can             respond to local, regional and international imperatives of all sectors, organizations and communities.  

  

MISSION 

Within the broad mission of WSU and Faculty of Commerce and Administration, the Department’s Mission is to provide teaching and learning through creative and innovative means. 

AIMS 

  • The aim of the Department is to produce and empower aspiring graduates and professionals with knowledge to address and meet challenges experienced in public and private sectors, non-governmental organizations and communities..
  • Provide education and training programmes within the discipline of Public Administration and Management, Office Management, Hospitality Management and Public Relations Management. 
  • Engage in developmental partnerships with stakeholders and pursue advice in policy issues relevant to the three spheres of government in South Africa.
  • Emphasis on Problem-Based Learning and placing students in experiential training.
  • Undertake research and community work.
  • Encourage integrated learning through the application of appropriate knowledge.
