Mthatha's Faculty of Commerce and Administration is one of the largest and most diverse faculties at Walter Sisulu University with a staff complement in excess of 100, servicing a student population of approximately 3,000 students across three delivery sites on the Mthatha campus.

The Faculty comprises three distinct Departments offering 25 different postgraduate and undergraduate qualifications.

Recently, we have established two new centres:

• Centre for Entrepreneurship & Rapid Incubator
• Centre for Agribusiness.

The two centres have community development and capacity building at their core and work hand-in-hand with the academic departments in achieving the vision and mission of the Faculty and the University. 

Our Faculty has a proud tradition of producing esteemed professionals servicing the business world in the Eastern Cape, South Africa and Southern Africa. 

Some of the finest and accomplished minds were nurtured and moulded in this Faculty.

Students who successfully complete their studies, leave well-equipped to face the dynamic business environment in their chosen disciplines. 

This Faculty does not only create a platform for the development and acquisition of relevant, and appropriate skills and competencies, but it also inculcates in its students a notion of life-long learning which is an essential skill if one is to be responsive to the dynamic and challenging business world that awaits us in the future.
