The Faculty of Management and Public Administration Sciences (FMPAS) is one of the largest Faculties at Walter Sisulu University and is home to approximately 7 500 students. The Faculty is located in the Butterworth Campus(IBIKA) of WSU and is situated approximately halfway between Mthatha and East London. Certain Faculty programmes are offered at the Buffalo City Campus Delivery Site as well as the Komani(Queenstown) campus delivery site.

The Faculty offers programmes ranging from higher certificates to post graduate programmes in Public Administration. Many of the programme offerings have extended curriculum programmes to provide additional access opportunities for learners into the programmes offered in the Faculty.  

Graduates from the faculty are equipped with the skills and competencies that allow them to enter and contribute in various areas within the national and global economy as entrepreneurs and skilled professionals who work in commerce and industry, in both the public and private sectors. Some of our qualifications prepare graduates for specialised areas of employment in radio, television, general media, public relations, hotel management, sport management and tourism
