The purpose of this SLP is to empower health professionals with the practical ability to prevent, detect and manage major obstetric complications through the use of essential equipment, drugs and other supplies This will improve the capacity of the trainees to deliver quality maternal and newborn health services leading to reduction of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality in the Eastern Cape.
