The Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PME) Directorate is a central Directorate tasked with facilitating the university's strategic management and operational oversight. It serves as the backbone of the institution's strategic planning processes, providing essential data, analysis, and insights that drive informed decision-making and support the university's long-term objectives.

Key Functions
1. Academic Planning: The Directorate assists in academic programme planning and development, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and industry needs. 2. Quality Management: The Directorate is also responsible for overseeing the university's quality assurance processes, ensuring that all academic and administrative functions meet or exceed established standards. 3. Strategic Planning: The Directorate leads the development and maintenance of the WSU Strategic Plan, ensuring it reflects the university's vision and mission while setting clear, measurable targets for all operational and academic units.
4. Performance Monitoring: It conducts regular assessments of the university's performance against its strategic goals and operational benchmarks, facilitating transparency and accountability within all university activities.
5. Enrolment Planning: Responsible for shaping the university’s enrolment strategies, the Directorate ensures that student intake aligns with the university's academic offerings and strategic intentions, balancing demand with capacity and financial sustainability.
6. Data Governance and Management: The Directorate oversees the management of university data, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility. It supports the university's decision-making through the development of advanced data systems and customized reporting tools.
