Our Visual Arts and Fashion graduates become self-employed or go into employment as graphic designers, interior designers, fashion designers and in various forms of entertainment.

The Department of Visual Arts, like others in the faculty, is philosophical in outlook and humanistic in approach. It adds to the layer of multi- inter and trans disciplinarity already obtaining in the faculty. Its graduates either create employment through their individual work or they find employment in related spaces.

The depth of creativity in the department has seen work and artists of a global standard emerge from this department.

Our Visual Arts and Fashion graduates become self-employed or go into employment as graphic designers, interior designers, fashion designers and in various forms of entertainment. We have also produced world renouned visual artists who have lifted the South African flag on global stages.
